Shaway Yeh as special adviser to the Summit

By Global Fashion Agenda

Global Fashion Agenda is pleased to welcome another special adviser to its advisory team, Shaway Yeh, group style editorial director at Modern Media and founder of yehyehyeh.

As one of China’s key opinion leaders on fashion and culture, Yeh will help set up a panel at Copenhagen Fashion Summit with Chinese C-suite. Tapping into her network will allow Global Fashion Agenda to increase its focus on Asia, more specifically Mainland China.

“It’s a great honour to be part of this visionary organisation working together to steer our industry towards a sustainable future. We cannot reach such a goal without engaging with the world’s largest consumer and manufacturing market, China. And China’s own unique policy, business models and culture can also contribute to the development of sustainability, innovation and common good of our global community,” says Yeh.

Under her editorial direction, Modern Weekly – China’s most influential lifestyle publication with a circulation of over 989,800 copies – has reached China’s elite readers with the latest international news, trends, phenomena and discussions in the fields of style and culture. Yeh extended the publication’s creative panache and unique editorial point of view to digital platforms and launched iFASHION, the first fashion video and moving images-based mobile app in China.

In 2017 Yeh became co-creative director of the global video channel NOWNESS. She has been using her media outreach to discuss and represent issues related to sustainability and innovation. She founded the agency yehyehyeh in the same year to push forward the fashion agenda among Chinese brands and designers by bringing together sustainability, creativity and innovation.
